Yes it is true Artanis lacks of crowd control but it doesn’t matter that match as it has got raw survivability with its auto popping shield keeping him on his feet even though being in a head to head battle to any hero. Artanis packs that mean burst damage and is also ideal at isolating problematic enemy team member. As a matter of fact, this makes it feasible for the allies to obliterate them.
When using Artanis in a clash battle, things can go so fast and also, fanatic. You must chip away with some basic attacks to be able to keep your shield cooldown nice and low. You however need to be wary with your positioning as this can make your hero susceptible without such skill. You have to open your eyes wide for targets while on the in-game battle to check which enemy you can take next for the burst damage. In the event that the clash is going against your team, this can be used in creating a good escape. Also, you have skills such as Purifier Beam which stops low health opponent from getting back to base safely.
In case that you are not in a clash, you can take advantage of the innate strengths of your hero to deal with Mercenary Camps and map objectives or perhaps, to take on a lane that isn’t getting attention from your teammates. You probably don’t want to miss any XPs as those extra pushes can tell you the difference.
The truth is, there are plenty of Artanis gaming build that you can try but among the most common is the standard build.
Level 1. Reactive Parry – this can store up to 2 charges and can reduce the basic attack damage you get from another hero.
Level 4. Templar’s Zeal – this will make your Blade Dash cooldown to recharge 75 percent faster when you are currently at 50 percent health or below.
Level 7. Psionic Synergy – every single time Blade Dash hits another hero, it is reducing the Shield Overload cooldown by 4 seconds.
Level 10. Purifier Beam – target enemy heroes with orbital beam from the Spear of Adun that can deal 404dps for 8 seconds.
Level 13. Phase Bulwark – for the next 3 seconds, you will take 50 percent less damage after you have activated the Shield Overload.
Level 16. Zealot Charge – while the Twin Blades is activated, you are charging a short distance into your target.
Level 20. Target Purified – the nearest enemy hero will automatically be the next target of Purifier Beam if it kills one.
It can be a bit tricky to master Artanis in the game but you’ll use to it if you take time studying his abilities.
